The beginning...

Logos Bible Church was organized in 1984 under the name Grace Doctrinal Bible Church by a group of approximately five families that wanted a church where the emphasis would be on the teaching of the Bible.  After meeting rather informally and listening to taped Bible messages by various men, a pastor was sought for and provided the church's first "official" service in July of 1984.  The original name of the church reflected an emphasis on "grace" (all that God has done for man on the basis of the cross; minus man's works, minus religion as a means of being made right with God, minus legalism); on "doctrine" (the various teachings of the Bible as compared with emotionalism, programs, gimmicks, etc); and on the Bible (as deserving our utmost attention since it is the source of truth and the means by which we come to know God and are changed).

How we've grown...

The church originally met in the Groveport Town Hall and then in the Obetz Senior Center until acquiring an actual "church building" on Lancaster-New Albany Road in Reynoldsburg, Ohio in December of 1989.  Our name was changed to Reynoldsburg Community Bible Church to better identify with the community, as well as to reflect the sense of community we hope to experience within our church family. Moreover, we have sought to remain true to our original mission.

Our hopeful future...

With the move to Pickerington in 2002, we changed our name to Logos Bible Church. We continue to teach the Bible verse by verse and believe that true knowledge of God, true change, and true solutions to life's problems can only be obtained by knowing the Word.  If you are looking for some honest answers to life's various problems and do not attend a Bible teaching church, we sincerely invite you to join one of our services. Though we do emphasize teaching, we also enjoy worshiping through music, prayer, and fellowship.
